Pim Mathot – Managing Partner
Pim was managing partner of BDO Corporate Finance from 2001-2011. He has assisted over 100 transactions during that period. Pim gave advice to various family businesses and management teams in national and cross-border M&A transactions (a.o. management buy-outs), corporate clients and private equity firms. From 1996 to 2001 he was director of PWC Corporate Finance and responsible for the mid-market. Pim started his professional career in 1991 at ABN AMRO Bank where after a management traineeship he was responsible for the Dam office in Amsterdam and ABN AMRO leasing in Frankfurt. Pim is a graduate of the University of Tilburg and the University of Cambridge and has a Master’s degree in corporate law. Pim is member of the supervisory board of several companies.

Diederik Eggink – Partner
Between 2001 and early 2013 Diederik was senior manager at BDO Corporate Finance. In those years he has gained extensive experience with various (international) sale and purchase transactions, management buy outs and valuations. Diederik was responsible for the international Corporate Finance network and has a large international network. Diederik has assisted dozens of transactions for multinational companies as well as for family businesses and management teams in a significant number of sectors. He studied economics at the University of Groningen.

Coen de Bruin – Partner
Coen is entrepeneur and owner of several companies. Since 1986 he is the owner of du Pon & de Bruin. DPDB is one of the largest private label companies in the world.Furthermore Coen has several supervisory board positions in various sectors. Luc Defaix – Associate Counsel
Luc Defaix is Associate Consel of Compass. Besides Compass Lus is active as a Partner of Pels Rijcken. Luc has a track record in (inter)national M&A deals and related auction processes. He also advises on (cross boarder) joint ventures, restructurings, investments and governance issues. His clients include corporates, family owned businesses, private equity firms and groups of informal investors. Between 2006 and 2010, Luc made a side step from the legal practice to the private equity. As managing partner, Luc was primarily responsible for the investments and divestments of the private equity firm. In this period he also gained operational experience in the various industrial portfolio companies.
We are a member of the Dutch Corporate Finance Association (DCFA).
